Pretty Polly The UKs Favourite Tights Brand?
In these ever changing times, Pretty Polly is like, well, like a comfortable old pair of tights! It’s a brand your mother used and has been around forever (well, since 1919 anyway) and to me at least, has always been synonymous with plain, no nonsense hosiery. You find Pretty Polly everywhere, from supermarkets to your local village shop, you can rely on them for all your every day hosiery needs, although they might not be your first choice for rather more exciting leg apparel. That was my opinion up until recently – how wrong I was!
Their new House of Holland range, by the young designer Henry Holland, are cutting edge and really exciting. They are suitable for all ages and show real imagination, not something always associated with hosiery, which can sometimes be seen as fashion’s poor relation. The Contrast Houses and Mock Sock tights are fashionable and fun and can really make an outfit.
It has to be said that although Pretty Polly is at the forefront of hosiery design it does also manage to provide good looking support tights, suitable for all ages and they even have a range treated with silver which helps to reduce foot odour, so they manage to tick all the boxes for both style and practicality. Pretty Polly is a prime example of a brand which has managed to make it’s product range broad enough to appeal to women of all ages, in all walks of life, ranging from teenage fashionistas to elderly ladies who’ve been fans of the label all their lives. All it’s products are accessable and affordable and clearly a lot of thought has been put into ensuring that there is a pair of Pretty Polly tights that will appeal to everyone.
